Fast 3µs settling time, allowing quick changes in analog output. High resolution with 8-bit accuracy. Low INL/DNL ensures high fidelity in analog signal conversion. Buffered output avoids load capacitance effects. Wide analog and digital supply voltage support from 4.5V to 16.5V.
Best suited for industrial controls, instrumentation, process automation, data acquisition systems, automatic test equipment, and any other systems requiring medium-resolution voltage output DACs. Appropriate for applications operating in standard commercial temperature ranges (0°C to 70°C). Not qualified for automotive, military, or extended temperature use.

Observe 0°C to 70°C operating temperature. Moisture sensitivity is not critical (MSL 1). Handle carefully to avoid ESD and physical damage to the leads.
Since this part is obsolete, check whether your application can use other Analog Devices’ DACPORT® family models (such as AD558KN, AD558JN), but confirm pinout and performance compatibility. Equivalent 8-bit voltage output DACs are available from other manufacturers, for example:
