Description

RS232 transceiver IC. Supports full-duplex communication, meaning it sends and receives 2 channels simultaneously. Comes in a 16-pin DIP (Dual In-line Package) for easy through-hole mounting. Ideal for connecting TTL/CMOS logic to RS232 serial ports. This model is obsolete, so quantities are limited to available stock.

Specifications

Supports two transmit channels and two receive channels. Operates at supply voltage between 4.5V and 5.5V. Data transfer rate up to 120Kbps. Receiver input hysteresis is 500mV for noise filtering. Works within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. Fits standard DIP sockets (package width 0.300", pitch 7.62mm). Moisture sensitivity level is 1, so it is not sensitive to moisture during manufacturing. RoHS non-compliant but REACH unaffected. Classified under ECCN EAR99 and HTSUS 8542.39.0001.
