Global PC Shipments Grow 6.7%, Lenovo Maintains Lead

According to Fast Technology, the latest report from market research firm Counterpoint Research shows that global PC shipments reached 61.4 million units in the first quarter of 2025, marking a 6.7% year-over-year increase. The report attributes this growth to several factors, including manufacturers accelerating shipments ahead of new U.S. tariff policies, the approaching end of Windows 10 support, and the rise of AI PCs.

By brand, Lenovo maintained its position as the global leader, with shipments surging 11% and its market share rising by 1 percentage point to 25%. HP posted a modest 6% increase, holding steady at second place with a 21% market share. Dell also recorded a 4% gain, maintaining a 16% share. Apple saw a 17% increase in shipments, boosting its market share to 10%. ASUS ranked fourth with a 6% share, as its shipments rose 9%. Other manufacturers collectively grew by 1%, but their combined market share shrank by 2 percentage points to 22%.
