AKM’s 32-bit stereo ADC with high environmental noise tolerance

AKM's AK5522VN is a 32-bit automotive stereo analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with high resistance to noise. The ADC supports sampling frequencies from 8 kHz to 192 kHz specifically developed for line and microphone digital audio equipment. The AK5522VN contains a built-in voltage regulator output with high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) that can be used with digital-to-analog converters (DAC). Suitable DACs from AKM that can be used are AK4432VT or AK4452VN.

The AK5522VN has low power consumption and 108 dB of dynamic range and 98 dB S/(N +D). The ADC has a choice of four internal types of digital filters selectable according to different application. The converter offers high input common mode rejections (CMRR) offering excellent performance even with USB power and DC-DC converters. The analog characteristics, such as the dynamic range, are optimized based on VELVET SOUND™ technology.

  • Power consumption: 76 mW (AVDD=5.0 V, DVDD=3.3 V, fs=48 kHz)
  • Operation temperature: -40°C to +105°C
  • Package: 24-pin QFN 4 mm x 4 mm, 0.5 mm pitch
